Alan Burnett started AAB Consultancy in January 2004 and has been involved in a series of business turnaround roles since then. Alan identifies areas where a business is underperforming and recommends and implements more profitable performance.

Examples of recent projects he has been involved in are:-

  • Assisting a Turnaround Director develop a shared-ownership Resort in the Algarve;
  • Realigning a Property and Plant Company in Perthshire;
  • Providing Cash Flow modelling for the conversion of three Hotels in Central London.

Prior to starting his own consultancy Alan assisted the Montpelier Group in the opening of the Tigerlily hotel in Edinburgh by identifying funding requirements and forecasting cash flow to physical completion. In the previous three years he undertook general financial management of the other Montpeliers outlets e.g. Indigo Yard, Ricks Hotel, Opal Lounge, Candy Bar.

Before joining Montpeliers Alan had over 20 years experience in the licensed trade primarily in senior finance positions with Scottish and Newcastle plc.
