Alan Burnett – Alan spent most of his professional life with Scottish and Newcastle plc, working in a variety of Senior Finance positions.

Having gained qualifications in Accountancy, Company Secretary, and Business Studies, Alan is able to blend professionally-gained theoretical knowledge with practical wide-ranging business experience.

For the last 10 years he has been involved at Finance Director level in guiding Owner-Managed Companies with their expansion plans (Turnover £10m/£20m).

More recently, Alan has also carried out Independent Business Reviews, covering a wide variety of businesses, on behalf of lending institutions.

At the same time, he has become involved as a Non-Executive Director in a few small Companies, where he can provide an independent and objective input into the decision-making process.

Alan is targeting the needs of companies with an annual Turnover from £2m - £20m, and can help resolve problems associated either with fast growth, or with the dynamics of survival. Such companies may require the skills and experience of a hands-on Finance Director but cannot, at this stage, afford a full-time employee.
